To be eligible for
Honorary Membership, an applicant is required to:
- Have made an outstanding contribution to the field of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
- Receive a nomination from a clinical member for honorary membership status. A letter of nomination for the potential honorary member with his or her brief CV is submitted to the President of the Society who will forward the potential honorary member to the Membership Committee for review. The Membership Committee reviews all applications for honorary membership status and reports to the Board who will act upon the potential honorary member and bring their recommendation regarding approval or nonapproval to the membership. The membership will vote on honorary membership at the next scheduled meeting. Approval from the Membership Committee is necessary for honorary membership status and will occur with a majority of the membership vote at that meeting. Honorary members are exempt from the payment of dues
